The Faraday rotator outputs linearly polarized laser light that has been rotated by 45 degrees from the linearly polarized light that is incident on it. It is used for applications that require shifting the linear polarization of the laser and in conjunction with polarizers to prevent back reflections of the laser light. CASTECH manufactures the magneto-optical crystals used in this Faraday rotator in-house, allowing them to produce and sell high-quality Faraday rotators. This enables the supply of products compatible with laser wavelengths ranging from 355 to 4500 nm.
